About the performance

Follow the zany adventures of the young cat Bavela who sets out on a quest to revisit her old lives so that she can make her dearest dream come true. Yes, cats have seven lives and the curious Bavela delves into her memories to understand why she cannot participate in the celebration of the Day of the Dead. She takes us on a crazy musical story to the four corners of the world, from Mexico to Italy and Argentina to Egypt, where friendship, music and dance are at the heart of the solution.

An original tale by Krystina Marcoux, written in close collaboration with Juan Sebastian Delgado and Justina San Martin, under the critical guidance of Jason Noble, this multidisciplinary show features the dynamic duo Stick and Bow. The story is told by the two musicians who interact with animated illustrations of Bavela and her friends, while playing the soundtrack of the show in real time! Breathtaking, fun and educational!

This concert offers laughter and discovery, while presenting music lovers young and old alike with playful arrangements for marimba and cello covering more than four centuries of music with Rameau, Piazzolla, Nina Simone and many others; a narrative experience that will charm the whole family!
