Accessibility

The Oakville Centre faces accessibility challenges due to its design and age and does not have an elevator.

Learn more about our accessibility features below or contact the Box Office to speak to a member of our team.

Auditorium accessibility

Please use the main entrance on Navy Street to access the Auditorium. Auditorium accessible seating is NOT available online. Please contact the box office to purchase tickets for patrons using a wheelchair or walker.  For the safety of patrons, all accessible seating in the Main Auditorium is located in Row S. The Main Auditorium’s 17-row seating area has a steep incline, with steps down to each row.

Studio Theatre accessibility

Patrons who have any difficulty with stairs or that use mobility devices are asked to call the box office in advance of the performance to arrange for Studio Theatre access.  Please use the Stage Door/Artist Entrance on the lower level on Water Street.

Tickets for accessible seating

Patrons using a wheelchair, walker or who have difficulty with stairs should advise the Box Office (905-815-2021) at the time of ticket purchase. Tickets for accessible seating are not available online.

Allergies/multiple chemical sensitivities

Please do not wear cologne, perfume or other scented products while attending an Oakville Centre event.

Parking

One accessible parking spot is located on Navy Street and the parking lots along Church Street also offer accessible spots for those attending an auditorium event.

Three accessible parking spots for the Studio Theatre are located in the Water Street parking lot located at the lower level behind the theatre. Visit our Directions and Parking page for more parking information.

Service animals

Dog guides and other service animals are welcome and may accompany patrons in any areas open to the general public. We encourage patrons to notify the Box Office in advance or at the time of ticket purchase so we are best able to accommodate.

Staff training

Training is provided to our employees, volunteers and individuals who provide goods or services on our behalf as outlined in the Town of Oakville’s Accessible Customer Service Procedure  and the town’s Accessible Customer Service 101 video.

Support persons

The Oakville Centre welcomes patrons with disability and their support person. All patrons, including those acting as a support person, are required to hold a valid ticket for ticketed performances.
